Computing at Birmingham City University

Our computing courses are delivered by the School of Computing, Telecommunications and Networks, based at the landmark Millennium Point building in Birmingham’s city centre. We offer a full range of computing qualifications from foundation degrees to PhDs; as well as short, professional development courses.

LPI qualifications are one of the many computing certifications offered by BCU. As an LPI Approved Academic Partner, we are proud to deliver both short courses to the public and train-the-trainer sessions to professional educators. In addition to this, our degree students have the opportunity to gain and certify their Linux skills with LPI while they study, further improving their employment prospects once they graduate. LPI exam candidates can even take their certification exams on site, making use of our own LPI and Pearson Vue test centres.
